Rather than putting a new ejector rod and housing on your firearm, you need someone to teach you how to use the one you have!!. If you have to pull ANY expended brass out of your cylinder, something is WRONG!! If you ever have to use the ejector rod to remove a loaded round, something is WRONG. Most of the time the WRONG = DIRT!!!
My dad taught me to shoot his Rugers back in about 1972 or 1973. The ejector rod is to flip the brass into your open palm. Open the loading gate, flick the rod with your finger and the empty brass should FLY into a waiting palm or out onto the ground. You should not have to reach in to pull it out.
When my Rugers and FAs are super clean, the first few cylinders full may not even need to have the ejector rod used to take out the empties.
Now some nay sayer is going to say, "Shag, you shoot whimpy loads. Your brass is not expanding like mine is." My loads are not whimpy, not even my "mild" loads. I have "mild" and "wild" for each of my revolvers. Even the wild loads will extract empties into open palm held at loading gate.
Go clean your gun....dammmmmmmit.
