If these agents are still in Jail , my next question is why are they still not pardoned under this new administration(with apologies).  This would have been my very first number 1 action 2 minutes after I took office. and damn the politics.
I don't give a rat's A@#$ what Mexico says on the subject. And no I don't care about the "we need to be politically sensitive to Mexico here" That's just dung. It's a Border , We hired people to protect it. You cross Illegally you get shot. If more would get shot perhaps it would stem the flow knowing we are done pussy footin around and have untied the agents hands and allowed them to do what we hired them to do in the first place. / Protect our boders!!!!!! /

What part of Illegal Aliens do people not get ? I don't care if your just coming across the border and get shot or you have been here 30 years , your still Illegal if you didn't enter the country properly and there fore you have no rights. period.

If we are talking about the same two Border Patrol agents, the two had their sentences " commuted" by "W" just before he left office!

Yea "commuted" no pardon!

I also concur with your full analysis of handling the illegal immigrants that are crossing our borders!A few shots in the right place with the total backing of the Fed`s would send a strong message that would go a long way to solving this mess! Unfortunately with the present whimps in Washington,D.C. today this ain`t going happen!!

Back to the Boarder

The federal government isn't going to move against the illegals comeing in and the state governments arn't going to either because that they would be makeing an actual commitment. The state governmeint will only decree and blow and posture. The state governments won't move unless the citizens act and they probably won't then because our representatives are politicians and not patriots. The citizens won't act because the Hate Crime Laws and the Homeland Security Laws will incriminate and convict them if they do. The state officials are too Ch*(<3^^    S"*+  to act and give the citizens a defense and the citizens know if they act independently they will be shot down by Federal Forces or Sent to prison without hearing or trial for an indefinite period of time due to the Homeland Security Laws or the Hate Crime Laws.  The Hate Crime Laws arn't as anti constitution as the Homeland Security Laws but they will get citizens convicted and imprisoned.

Nothing is going to happen in mass. We will just sit bitch and complain. If anyone does act it will be too small and insignificant to matter and thier neighbors will likely turn them in.

We the people are likely to do nothing.

At this point in time what is the key to initiateing acton?

Actually it seems most of your words are wasted when you post. The analogy was so far off it was ludicrous. Mexico has the second largest catholic population in the world. Anyone who knows their country even remotely knows they are very devout Christians. Statistics show 89% christian. You would have had a better point with Larossa since that would have fit into knowing Mexican culture. The Atlan spin was a nice touch since it is popular in the muslim world today. Since they still live in the 7th century by practical means, I guess they think that Mexico is as well. Nice to tie in a religious movement though that most theologians have not heard of because it has been dead for centuries.

To further break down the analogy. The Palestinians cowardly abandoned their land. The Mexicans were brave enough to fight for theirs. Mexico sold the states to the US after we invaded Mexico City. Comparing Mexicans to the spineless individuals in Gazza shows just how out of touch the mullahs are today. But they don't have to be in touch, only in power, since the mindless hoard will follow anything as long as fear is instilled in them.

TM, where did you do your research. Before the Spaniard they were Indians. Indians that the Apache, and Comanche HATED. Indians that were considered by the Texas tribes of Apache and Comanche as TRESPASSERS. TRESPASSERS beyond recorded time.
You have always seemed to have an odd mixture of Christ and the Arab Muslim. You at times seem to believe in Christ, but also multiple gods, which is to say that if you believe in Christ, where do you get this belief? If you believe in Christ, then how can you ignore God's Promise to Israel and to restore their inheritance, i.e. their "Heavenly Land Grant".
Now I don't agree with a couple of morons that continually "snipe" you, like a couple of little school yard bullies, while adding nothing of value to the conversation, but I will say with respect that your message over time leads to confusion. So with all due respect, I am not asking for you Christian views, as they are confusing to say the least.
I am asking where you got this Mexican theology, as I see no connection in comparison with Israel? And sources would be a more informative addition, rather than opinion.

Rb1235...seriously guy...the Palestinians abandoned their land.....?... ::) How so?  Seems like they are still fighting. But if they aren't fighting why are zios genociding them?  The analogy is: both zios and 'la raza' claim ownership on a region based on spiritual, non certified occupiers, and archaelogical history....just that simple and not a brain strainer.

True, the catholic church has the most to gain from unfettered migration into North America....absolutley the most. Being 'la raza' with ethnic archaelogical slant doesn't preclude being a catholic. Atlan, referring to the SW region, is in the moslem world...how so?

You need to do some research on La Raza and the 'reconquista'.
Then you need to find a study kit for spoken spanish.

..TM7

1948 650,000-750,000 Palestinians abandoned Israel. They were hoping their muslim brothers in surrounding countries would fight for them. Obviously there was little use for the Palestinians in the eyes of their neighbors. They were scattered as refuges to live as peasants among their "brothers".
As for the belittlement you tend to add as an anecdote to make your words seem a bit more intelligent,,,,,,,,,,,, I do not speak, nor do I wish to speak Spanish. You do however speak English. If you wish to critique on spelling, you may wish to get your English down pat before you suggest to a person a study kit for a foreign language.

Hopefully this thread will make it's way back to it's original discussion of Protecting our Borders and empowering our agents to do so without fear of reprisals from our own.

However m Since this thread has taken a slant towards far flung analogies I will provide one of my own.. We send a bunch of kids to a foreign land half way around the globe, we don't call it a war , we call it a police action. Then we tie their hands and don't provide the necessary support from home to enable them to win. Instead we play political football. Then some call them murderers when they do return home after doing the job our nation initially asked of them.

Sound familiar .. There's my far flung analogy.

If we are going to get serious about Border Patrol , how about empowering the agent to be allowed to do what we have asked of him without worries of reprisals and incarceration by his own Gov't when he carries out those orders.

Aren't smugglers called Coyotes ? Aren't we suppose to thin the packs anyways. Who are we to question a single agent securing miles of open land on his own with no one else to rely on but his wits and training and is duly sworn to protect our Border when he has to make makes a judgment and split second decisions Between Life and death. I for one want to see that agent return home to his family safe for dinner, and I thank him for having the courage and fortitude to make such a hard decision. Incarcerations? Pardons ? commuted sentences? Instead we should be handing out Medals for valor in the field.

I have absolutely no problem with anyone wanting a chance at a better life and emigrating to this country. Just stand in Line and do it legally. If not , well then you put the ball in motion and are responsible for all that happens afterward to you. And oh by the way when you arrive illegally , there are no services waiting for you at this end , employment, health care , etc.. Time to start getting serious Folks.

Just my Rant and far flung analogy.
Time for a beer , I need to cool off.

Not all here share your opinion

To further break down the analogy. The Palestinians cowardly abandoned their land.....

I fail to see the word coward applied to people that risk throwing rocks at fully armed infantry and armored vehicles but do think it applies to "heroic" IDF pilots bombing and firing missiles into civilian targets.

Mexico is getting agressive internally as well. They just broke 2 long standing miners strikes with federal troops and are taking over the mines. We don't pay attention to their internal affairs ... I gather most Americans picture Mexico as one gigantic juarez with no jobs and drug cartels, but there's a whole lot more going on, and they are practically better suited for economic collapse than we are.

HEH. They are already there. We  could really ruin them if we wanted to. Round up all the invaders here in America and ship em back to mexico, that'd fix em. Wages would go up here, unemployment would drop drastically, States, counties, cities budgets would greatly improve through money saved, hospitols might actually get their heads above water, taxes COULD go down, wouldn't, but could.  Win win situation for us. Our government is as corrupt as the one in mexico, Do you really think that getto kids are running  a drug business making billions? The war on drugs is a sham to keep the profits up and the money flowing to our politicians to support Prohibition laws that are know failures proved by the their failure in the 30's. Only the sheep think that our government is not corrupt.

There are two pertinent articles running on www.wsj.com today.  One is an opinion piece by Peggy Noonan, a writer who wrote speeches for President Reagan.  She says the US is entirely unprepared for some sort of large weapon event here.  The second article is a regular Wall Street Journal news report on whites becoming a minority in the US, probably by next year.  These sure are interesting times.

Wages would go up here, unemployment would drop drastically

PMAN, I don't understand how wages would go up or unemployment would drop. I am under the impression (having grown up in Arizona/Texas) that those job sectors that currently employ illegal immigrants operate with small profit margins; where would the $ come from to pay the higher wage? Also those job sectors are in unskilled/semi-skilled labor, agriculture, housekeeping, gardening, day labor, dishwasher, cook ... jobs that don't bring a high wage anyway, and not typically sought by Americans. I don't see the direct correlation between kicking out the illegal immigrants and wage increases and unemployment reduction. But if you've got some documentation that shows otherwise, I'm all ears.

Now I'm all for kicking out the illegals, and I am also willing to accept that unemployment will remain around 10% and some businesses will collapse. I don't think that's going to change until America remembers the value of hard work, honest wages (not inflated) and quality goods.

As for savings to the public in services provided, amen!

Why do you think the Mexican President is so up set with Arizona.  This can and will force economic collapse on Northern Mexico.

TM:  We are talking Mexicans and the Border problems here.  Not Jews and Rag Heads.  It's also plain you never had American History classes, or you would be a little more informed.  So if you can't stay on subject and be productive please go away.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

TN check out the building trades! Alabama born guys can't find jobs as carpenters brick layers or any thing else in the building trades, because the illegal’s are working them cheaper than we will. that in turn drives down wages in the whole area.

Beerbelly, PMAN, fair enough. Will the construction market be able to absorb the number of currently unemployed/underemployed skilled craftsman? I thought construction was tanking right now. The reason I say that is because it sounds like its probably true that in a healthy economy, there would be jobs opening up. But simply kicking the illegals out won't solve the construction industry problems all by itself. And the increase in wages costs somebody something somewhere - who absorbs the increase? The homebuyer? I believe you as it relates to construction; just not certain this alone will solve that problem.

I had moved my allegiance from Arizona to Texas when my Dad moved, but I have to admit, Arizona is making me proud to have a 526 ss#.  ;D

TN. The walmart I used to work in was remodeled. A lot of the construction was done  by mexicans. There were water fountains put in that were so short a 2 year old would have to get on the floor to drink. Faucets in the bathrooms that were loose and just spun around. Wall for commodes set right at the edge of the commode with 2 ft clearance on the other side. They installed toilet seats with lids for automatic flushers, guess where the electric eye was? I could go on but needless to say the  quality of the work was attrocious, lots of customers complained, we did too. I doubt they paid taxes or were even legal. They sure weren't qualified to do the job. They hired some Americans to come back and make things right. They never saved a penny hiring those guys.  POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Many times quality suffers when illegal Mexican labor is used. A mexican contractor built the house down the road from where I lived. After they poured the foundation they started framing the house too soon. They broke a 2 foot chunk of a corner off the foundation. Patched at it, and kept building. Instead of measureing many times they cut it close and used a nail gun on it with plenty of nails i.e. the house was thrown up. In the last 5 years (house is 5 1/2 years old) the owners have had issues.

My nephews are roofers.  After Katrina they were sent to New Orleans to work.  When their boss finished his job, there was more work awaiting so the boss and his crew went to work subing for local contractors doing jobs as fast as they could.   At first they were working 12 to 14 hours a day 7 days a week.  That lasted for about four weeks, then the Mexicians showed up.  The contractors started giving them more time off, then fewer hours.  Soon they were not getting any work at all, or the wages had gone down to less then they would work for.  They packed up and went back to Wisconson.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

If TM is correct we should lie down at the feet of the Jews as they have caused every thing that ever happened in this world ! :o

If something smells or is fishy somewhere in the world, you can probably find at least one of them nearby.

99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.
