Does anyone have any info they would like to share regarding the use of Blue Dot in my 8 gauge double?

please have it magnafluxed prior to shooting they can be perfect on the exterior and badly rusted inside due to the black powder.  It collects in the joints of the barrel and rusts outward. At a very minimum load a very light round  wrap the barrel in tissue fire and check the tissue for any damage.

Think I would be hesitant to use smokeless in any twist barrel. These were made for black powder pretty much. Fluid steel for smokeless.

It has been regularly used with 40 plus grains of Blue Dot...I was hoping someone here might have different reloading information.  However having written about Blue Dot... rest assured it will be fired with black powder...it is too valuable as a family heirloom to destroy because I was stupid.

Search DoubleGunshop.com. Great forum for the old guns and folks that shoot Damascus every day. Folks forget they quit makeing Damascus because it cost more to make not because it was weak
