Some of this stuff is scarce???

I think the C&R handgun thing is catching on??  As some of this stuff can be still found some is scarce??  Like Russian Tokarev's?  I'm sure all of this stuff will be hard to find in the near future as interest grows in C&R handguns.  I just got interested in them myself because I seen them as affordable/cheap being frugal at times it got my attention.   BigBill

Yeah, the more dummies like me run around forums telling people how great this and that gun is for the money, and tell people to get C&R licenses and they will save more, the more these guns get snatched up and become scarce! Oh well.....

They are talking about them on other forums too so I guess there starting to catch on all over??  The word is out so if you want one and see one buy it because as the demand increases like anything else the price goes up too.                                                                  BigBill

I'm sorry, I must have missed the part where someone said C&R guns are supposed to be cheap???

What other comodity could you buy that is primarily a "collector value" that is less costly than current manufacture stuff?

If you like cheap, you must like junk. Thats the way its been since I was a little girl...  You get what you pay for.

Now if youre talking about the upswing in prices for some guns - I saw a guy asking a counterman if they had any "east german maks". So I asked him why he was looking specificaly for them? He didn't know, but thats what he reads "on the websites"!

No you didn't miss something, I just got into C&R handguns and looking at some of the prices I'll pass on some/most of them.  I'm starting to feel we are being taken on some prices their close to modern gun prices.  I guess I'm lucky to find what I could cheap already now I'll just backoff and refrain from buying any at the higher prices until some come along reasonably priced.  The Czech CZ52 is still affordable right now one will cost you about $100.  Its the Tokarev's that are going up from what I seen if you can find one. I'm also seeing some dealers hitting the auction sites trying to sell their goods too. I'm not sure if thats good or bad for us yet? I'm also not sure what the future of C&R collecting will be but I'm sure its going to cost us more in the the future.  I just ordered some C&R rifles and I'm waiting to see what condition their in too.  I'm sure we are starting to hit the bottom of the barrel on most of this stuff.     BigBill
