I have a 24/47 and don't have any issues with it.  Have you mic'd the case, is there even the slightest bulge?  Has the case length changed?  Chamber cast?

Snowman - that is not normal.  You should not have that ring around your fired brass or in your chamber.  I would first take it to a good gunsmith and have him headspace the rifle and then look hard to see if the ring in the chamber is caused by corrosion, and if so I would go right back to whoever you bought it from and return it as defective.  HTH.

try some quality ammo first-Winchester, Remington. The yugo ammo, not the rifle could have a defect.

I have a 24/47 and I have used the same yugo ammo in it that you have, manufactured in the 70 s. The ammo is some of the best surplus I have found,,,, wish I had more.  I have never seen rings like that on any of my cases.  I would have it checked out by a gunsmith before shooting it.
