last nights hunt
« on: June 13, 2010, 12:27:39 PM »
My brother, niece, nephews, Madshark and Cat, and my sister in laws boyfriend went out last night and got a nice boar. They said he went around 175 or so and had 1 1/2 to 2" teeth. He cut two dogs through their vests. Here is the pics they took of the hog.

My niece, SIL's BF, and my nephew:

I just can't wait much longer to go. If the DOC's don't release me to go soon I am gonna go anyways LOL.

Big cutters.  Nice hog.  Dogs OK?  You OK?  I didn't read about your current "restricted duty".

Hogs here have left the Territory.  State Trappers did a pretty good job (or still are) and I am seeing NOTHING.  No hog tracks, no hog sign, just loads and loads of deer prints and deer decimated food plots.

The dogs will be ok. One should be ready to go in about a week. The other one maybe two as he took a deep muscle cut on his shoulder where the hogs tusks went under the vest at the leg hole and did some damage.

I have been out of commission and work since Jan 4 of this year due to pancreititus(sp). I just had my last drain tube removed Monday, and just need time to heal up now. I lost 65 pounds and look like chit LOL. But I am still alive where my DOC's all said I should have died. They said when I first went in I had an 80% chance of dying, but they have learned I am not normal LOL.

Heal up soon.  Sit on the porch with those two good dogs as they heal up.  Life and the survival instinct is strong in hog hunters.  65#'s isn't all that much, provided you started with 300. Just kidding.  Glad you're back.   The pig's aren't though... ;D

LOL I started off a solid 200. Now I am back up to 156, and wishing I was back to normal. I am tired of hurting and being/feeling weak. However with the last drain hose removed from my side I can start doing more again once the hole in my side where it was heals, and once I get the groshong out of my shoulder and the antibiotics stop look out hogs is all I can say LOL.

I am a diabetic, and the PA at the clinic I went to at the time changed my meds. She took me off of my trigliceride(sp) meds and on a loooow dose cholesterol med. Which allowed my triglicerides to get up over 3,000, and they are only supposed to be no higher then 150.
