Earlier I said I sold off my Encore 7-08 Hunter barrel to get a Contender.  I kept the Prohunter frame for a rifle.  Just shot the .35 Rem Hunter yesterday and proved to myself I made the right decision.  Same or better accuracy, much better ergonomics (for me), lighter, better trigger, and will kill anything I care to shoot.

I shoot a 7x30 contender for deer and realy like it. Also have a 44 mag and 223 barrel. Of the sngle shot handguns I have been able to handle the contender felt the best in my small hands. I hunt heavy woos cover in North  central MN  so my furthest shot has been 112 yrds. Braodside shot with 140 gr. sp. deer went maybe 30 yrds, with a lung to lung pass through. Deer wieghed in at 173 lbs. Get the one that fits your needs and feel;ds goo in your hands.     if you can find shop that will let yopu try the same gun with different grips on it it may make differnce in your choice.
