SW Score at a local yard sale.
« on: June 13, 2010, 03:32:22 PM »
There was a community yard sale at the senior center in my town this weekend.  I stopped by on Saturday morning, and found 2 unbelievable deals that I still can't believe I found.

There were many tables set up, and people had blankets also laid out with stuff on them.  I was more interested in the ones selling tools.

First I found a Grundig Mini world 300 for one dollar.  I had bought the same radio only a different color for around $30 a couple of years ago.  The next one was huge.  I was walking around carrying the little mini world and stopped at a table with a Grundig Satellite 800.  I had actually kicked myself for not buying one of those when they were available.  Then only a couple of months ago, I looked around to see if I could find a used one.  It had all the attachments and the manual in a plastic bag tied to the radio.  It had a tag on it for $10.  I spent $11 dollars and got those 2 radios.  I already played with them and they both work well.

I used to always hear that you can find a good deal at a yard sale, but I never really expected to do this good.

Now that summer is here, I plan on hitting them more often, and you guys should too!
