Fire lapping out chamber throat
« on: June 14, 2010, 08:35:06 AM »
The chamber on a new  rifle has a very short throat requireing  the cast bullet I want to use  to be seated really deep with the base and GC being about .250" below the case neck.
Has anyone ever used valve grinding compound in grease grooves to lap out a chamber throat ?
I'm open to other ideas to save some $$$ that would require sending the rifle to a gun smith ?

NEVER MIND, I'll look into a reamer to take a little of the leading lands of this 7 TCU
