West Virginia

Friends of mine are putting together a October Archery Deer hunt in WV. I am not sure what part. Hoping someone from WV or has hunted it before can let me know if its worth the trip from New Hampshire.Any advice, tips etc would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try asking on wvsportsman.net  . I don't bow hunt. The first week of bow season is bow hunting only. The next Saturday after bow season opens, squirrel season opens. That helps get the deer moving.

I was kidding earlier about WV.  I go home every year and do a bit of hunting.  There is lots of good hunting there.  I'm not sure what kind of info you want but any time you can get out and go hunting with friends, I'd say go for it !!    Dave

I 'll try to get more information as to where they are planning to hunt.  They are under the assumption there are alot of deer in WV, and I am just trying see if this correct. I know they are planning on hunting state land so I'll find out where it is. J

Theres more deer here in WV than you can shake a stick at in some places! Other places not so many.

Are you looking to trophy hunt or just any deer hunt?
