Obama Meets with Arizona Governor, and Forgets to Mention?
« on: June 19, 2010, 03:53:11 AM »
Every State in the Union should be madder than Hell at the latest stunt pulled by the "pretend president". Meeting to discuss the problems with Arizona's new law (which matches the Federal Law), and knowing all along that a law suit is being filed against her, and her state.
It is a typical, double dealing, back handed, under the table, pretending to be friendly, lawyer stunt. Which shouldn't, I suppose surprise anyone since Obama is a lawyer.
Someone on another thread, (and no I don't remember who, and what thread) mentioned that the ACLU should get involved on the states rights issues. Well they have gotten involved alright. AGAINST STATES RIGHTS!  ::)
The stench is getting stronger and stronger, out of D.C. The picture is getting clearer, and clearer. YOUR TAX DOLLAR, is going AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE in court, and will be used to destroy Arizona. How sad.

Obama definately is a POS.The only way he knows how to deal with anything,is to send lawyers. Look at the Gulf area. Amazing the fore thought Shakesphere had with his quote, First, let's kill all the lawyers! I guess they were the same scourge in the middle ages as they are now.  I see the hearing on BP in washington, and the look like the show trials held in the former Soviet Union.  I think the major problem is for the most part, lawyers produce absolutely nothing and only mine cash from producers. Talk about ponzi schemes. I'm sure there is a percentage of lawyers who do well, but as a whole, I see them as a detriment to the country. I'm sure I am not going to make any friend with any lawyers who hang out on this website with that comment.  So be it.

I've been checking Fox News online lately. They seem to be trying hard to raise a fuss about how the Feds have closed a portion of the border to Americans, essentially granting it to Mexico and the illegal invasion.  They are giving a lot of play to the AZ gov too.

When I look for coverage of this issue in other online news, its mighty sparse.

Is Fox on its own crusade? Are other news agencies putting their head in the sand?

What gives?

This thing could really destablize that area.

And what's the big problem with profiling; isn't that how criminals are caught?
Can the governor mobilize the  AZ National Guard on her own?

Living in Alaska I don't know what to believe.

every governor is supposed to be able to exercise the power of his/her own militia.  I hope she does.

Dand, every news agency has it's own agenda, including Fox. Fortunately I agree with much of Fox news except their continual interviews with folks like Gingrich, McCain, and others. CNN, MSNBC and the others also have their agenda which is clearly Socialist and pro Obama. Their too stupid to realize a Marxist such as Obama would shut them down if he had the power, and then use them for propaganda only broadcasts.
The Mexican border has been a boiling cauldron since I was kid down here in Texas. It has reached point of about to boil over, and cannot be ignored any longer.

RACIST!!!

if only we could explain to the liberals that it's not about race but terrain, we cannot mine the entire ocean to keep out the africans and europeans.  we could have the coast guard to some search and destroy but then again I think the people coming in on ships are a customs issue (THAT is a topic worth discussing too).

Not sure what the governments response will be if the defense reads the federal penal code and asks the court why is it wrong for AZ to enforce a law that is on the federal books and not being enforce by them?

Enforcing existing laws has nothing to do with race. What part of ILLEGAL, or INVADER, is so hard to understand??? The gov of AZ should be given a standing ovation, osama should be arrested as an illegal and deported. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

it's a show of solidarity, to legitimize the actual, intentful search and apprehension of those illegal immigrants DESPITE the liberal tears about to fall when it does happen- a deliberately created buffer for a pre-meditated fight.  arizonan KNOW the federal government will step in to usurp state sovereignty by attempting to use federal troops to enforce a federal law but arizona now has it's own newly drafted and enacted legislation to pre-empt that attempt by the obama administration (he is the chief executive of the military and law enforcement, CAN try to supercede/usurp control of the arizona militia, without a mitigating factor, which that law is).  arizona has the new law and all the intent behind it to surge forward and keep the feds out for awhile- it won't work for real long, but long enough to get the job done.  with the movement for the tenth amendment and states' sovereignty becoming a big issue (up there with guns and abortion), obama will be forced to reveal his totalitarian dreams with an overt attempt to override a governor or just sit down and shut-up while his cronies wail.  it looks like a good plan to me, I really think they stone-walled obama out of any real satisfaction and more importantly, any real success.

The bottom line is that the democrat party sees about 30 million new voters,95% of which would vote for democrats. This would be a lock on power, if not forever,a very long time. I was born here in Arizona, and still live here. We have to secure the borders.

I look at it like this, MEXICAN people are mostly conservative, so are the immigrants new to America, however those new immigrants vote democrat while still new here to get the handouts.  once they've achieved wealth and comfort they start getting hammered on with taxes and realize how rediculous our laws really are (like why do I have to pay taxes: as a poor man here illegally with nothing who worked two jobs for a decade, couldn't speak or read english, avoided the law, paid all cash and never had credit, raised a family this way.... do american borne freaks/bums get welfare???), they start jumping ship.  them and their kids ARE oftentimes republican, which is why the democrats need to open the floodgates, to make up for the turnover in a big way for a few years.  our nation is sunk financially and getting crowded too so the window of opportunity is about to close- they have to make their move now or never.  either way that turnover is going to hurt them so they're going to try to milk what they can out of the situation before natural-borne citizen rage boils over, and the former mexicans are assimilated and furious too (for the mentality I mentioned above).

ask any successful former mexican how he/she feels about bums!  I have and it's hilarious, they hate them as much as us.

also they're straight, pro-family, super-catholic, and quick to take up shooting and hunting if you initiate them.

good and scary point Wreck.

Dee and others closer to the south border. Thanks for insight.

When I think about this I worry how destabilizing this immigration thing is becoming to our whole country.

Pat

Now per the law, she would have to have had probable cause to request proof of citizenship. Impersonating an elected official at the national level is a federal offense; given it'd have to clear DOJ first, and that he wasn't planning to stay in the state, she probably just let it pass. :D

Would someone please tell me where I can get a copy of Arizona's law that is causing so much controversy. I keep hearing this and that about it and I've tried to find it on the internet. I would like to read the entire law and form my own opinion of it, instead of the bits and pieces that I hear and read which reflect other peoples' opinions.

Dee, it's clear that the RIGHT of this nation to protect it's borders is beyond despute & a fundamental responsibility of the Fed Gov to enforce as it relates to National Defence & Sovereignty. If the Nation doesn't, then a State has the responsibility to protect it's citizens.

sendero, that was my point in starting this thread. The law is clear in Arizona, and the Federal law is clear on illegal immigration. Lawyers have clouded the issue and stand to make millions in trials that could go on for years. The State of Virginia is stepping on board it seems, and just maybe the trial lawyers and the Feds will be overwhelmed to the point there will be no money in it for the lawyers that take cases on a contingency, and the States will override the Federal Government citing states rights.

Terrorists would steal them and blow up cops.

Those who think that you set out a minefield and that's it must not have remembered their basic military training, or never had any.  If you put out a minefield, you're supposed to COVER IT WITH FIRE!  In other words, you are channelling the traffic coming into your minefield to go where you want it to go so you can shoot at the targets while they are trying to tippytoe their way through your minefield.  That basic premise would make it tough for terrorists who would steal the mines and blow up cops. I expect that it would be kind of rough on terrorists who'd be trying do dig up mines under a hail of interlocking machinegun fire and incoming artillery.  Nothing wrong with a minefield, Squib--it just needs to be covered with fire by the good guys, 24-7.  We'd just need to let the military set up your minefield, like they already know how to do, and cover it as though they were in a war--which they would be.

Now look at this!!!  This issue is getting stranger all the time.  How in heck can Mexico have any standing on which to get involved in this law suit? This is NUTS!  If Mexico is concerned about their citizens why don't they keep them home?  And stop the murderous goings-ons in their own country!!!

Mexico Joins Suit Against Arizona's Immigration Law, Citing 'Grave Concerns'
Published June 22, 2010 | FOXNews.com

Mexico on Tuesday asked a federal court in Arizona to declare the state's new immigration law unconstitutional, arguing that the country's own interests and its citizens' rights are at stake.

Lawyers for Mexico on Tuesday submitted a legal brief in support of one of five lawsuits challenging the law. The law will take effect July 29 unless implementation is blocked by a court........

I would say that the lawyers with the aclu et.al.,will shop their suit to a judge that is favorable with their views, and get an injunction at the last moment.Hate to say it,but the liberals have been packing the courts with their type of people for years. This is how you overturn the will of the people, just like the did in Kalifornia with Prop. 8 years ago.

If the border "Illegal Mexican Immigrant/drug smuggler Hunt" packages of some years back had taken off, all of this probably wouldn't be a problem now.

What was it he forgot to mention?
