Hello!

I have two older cannon kits, put out by "edelstaal" - part of their "engineering model series" - for the small UniMat-type lathes.
The kits are new in box; the plans and instruction sheets are a bit yellow on edges/folds, but very readable.

First one is for an 18th Century (Navy Mount) cannon -- the kit's barrel is to be a bit over 6" long - and offer (to my Newb eye) good diagrams of both barrel and carriage, with dimensions.

Second is an 18th Century (shore Mount) -- same barrel size, but uses Al angle stock to mount trunnions, then affix to a wood base.

UPDATE!  To reduce clutter, I'm editing this 1st post instead of "replying" to it...

I have extensive photos of both kits up on
http://www.flickr.com/photos/luvsdaheat/sets/  both the Naval, and Shore Mount kits!

I'll also make two new Topics -- one for each kit -- look for them ;)

As a former machine shop instructor, I'd love to see it.  :)
