Knock out the roll pin in the front of the sight first with the proper size punch, then remove the top(elevation adjust)screw while holding your thumb over the top of the sight(it is spring loaded).  That will uncover the two screws that hold the sight base on. :)

Dont loose the spring, use tape to stick it all together. Transfer to a zip lock baggie right now and store it where you will remember where you put it.
I didnt do any of the above, new sights from TC cost $40 plus shipping.
How do I know this? :D

I don't have Encores, but if they are like Contenders put a slip of paper in the baggie that says what barrel they came off of.  After taking mine off and putting them in a drawer I learned tey are different heights for different barrels.

If the barrel is a newer version and new type sight all you need to do is remove the elevation screw and spring and sight will flip up and you can remove the two screws. The older sights had an ear that slid under the base ear and on those as has been said you need to remove the front pin.

This has been mentioned previously in other threads but it bears repeating.  Screws may be tough  to break loose. If yours dont release promptly you may need to heat them.  Invert the barrel and use a lighter on the screws to break the adhesive bond. Heat from a soldering iron has also been mentioned.  Be careful in using loc-tite if you need a thread lock. Heating screws is much easier than removing broken screws.

Where can I get the proper size punch to remove the rolling pin?  Modified this post as I found a small drill bit which I filed flat and it worked fine to punch out the rolling pin.
