I became armed at a very early age. Life was different in the fifties. So I guess you could say I have been armed all my life. At 60 I don't particularly care for the thought of being unarmed, as I am once again becoming more vulnerable, as when I was a child.
Like someone has already said. Some will fight, and some will talk a good fight, till it comes down to the actual fight, and then they will buckle. I have a relative like that. He has ammo, and he has guns, but when asked by me what he would do if the government shows up for both, he says he will turn them over. What is his point in having them if he gives them up so easily.
I believe I would make a better corpse than a subject or slave, as I see them as the same. No, I came into this world free, and will leave the same, or die trying.
I have fought the fight a couple of times, and although it is an uncomfortable feeling to fight ones own countryman, what else can one do? Many police officers and government agents believe they will be exempt from such restrictions, and indeed they will. Until all others have been confiscated, and they have fulfilled their assignment. Then they too, will be of no use, and will be disposed of.
A man has to make up his mind whether he wants to walk down the road being jabbed in the ass by a bayonet, or bleed out on his porch a still free man. Neither choice is very appealing, but may well have to be made.
