Drilling Man made an excellent suggestion to put choke tubes in the Drilling vs opening the tubes which are both Full.  I am torn.  What would you do and why?

Doug, I have shotguns with choke tubes but seldom change then. If you would actually use them then the expence might be worth it. For me I don't think it would be. DM seems to like fiddeling with his drilling, changing tubes, insert barrels, etc. I prefer to just have it set up and hunt with it the way it is. So I would just open the chokes or buy spreader loads............But thats just me.  ;D

Be prepared to take a hit on value of drilling if you modify it. I would use the money to buy rounds of trap for practice and increase accuracy with the shotgun barrels.

A well used old "low grade" drilling won't take any hit.  In fact, it makes it more desirably to the "user" crowd.  AS LONG AS it's done "properly", and not a cobble job.
