Need Advice on a bow...
« on: June 28, 2010, 07:12:45 AM »
Forge Bows.....any experience with them would be great. Last year was my first year archery hunting and I loved it. I want to get a quality bow for my money. This brand was recommended to me. It is a smaller company, but from what I have read and seen they have a very quality product. After looking up a ton of reviews on them... I really can't find any negative feedback. Here is the website:

http://www.forgebow.com/

If anyone has experience with these bows I would love to hear it. I contacted them today and am getting a list of dealers in Indiana so I can go try some out for myself. Just wanted any advice or direction I could get beforehand.

Thanks,
dcary7

A buddy of mine just bought a Forge bow, I can't remember the model, but it I know it was last years model and he got a great deal on it.  He loves it and he used to have a Mathews...  I haven't seen or shot it yet but he talked to several Guy's at the archery shop by us and all said it was best bang for the buck...

Good looking bows, I've never heard of them before. Are they a fairly new company? Maybe I just have never noticed them before.

I am really not sure how new they are, but i think they have been around for a little while. They're just a smaller company that, from what I hear, focuses on quality over quantity of their production.... they have my attention atm. I am going to try and arrange to test some out and see for myself. I have called and spoke to them on the phone some and they seem like they would be good people to deal with... idk.  Buckskin if you have a chance please find out what model your friend purchased and try and get a few specifics for me if he has shot through a chrono or anything.

thanks,
Dustin

Admiral FLX.  He is waiting on his arrows to be made before paper tuning and checking speed.

Well I'll be, yes it is...  I know he was looking at a Forge, thought he bought one.  Sorry about that!

Lol not a problem. Well I'll post up at some point what I find out about em and if I get to test some out. If I like it as much as my buddies do I'll probably end up getting one.

Thanks

I will admit this is the first time I have ever seen one, but they are nice looking.

The only suggestion that I have is, shoot one before you buy one, if it feels good to you then that is all that matters.

Never heard of them before either, but as soon as I clicked the link I went to the bowfishing bows and read something very interesting. When I read the specs on the D-Ray it mention "In a pinch you can even change the bow string or the cable with only a 3/16" Allen head wrench, no bow press required" I'm not sure how they accomplish this but it sounds very cool!

There are 2 BowTech Bows that do this as well.
