Hello to all & Happy Holidays......
Does anyone shoot one of these, & if so, would you reccomend it? I have an AWA Peacekeeper that I really love, using it for target practice, but the price on the rodeo (around $480) is tempting me. It seems to be very faithful to the Colt 1st gen. regarding the solid mount straight-taper firing pin, even more so than my Peacekeeper, which is what I've been looking at. I would lean toward the 5&1/2" bbl in .45 Colt cal. Thanx for the feedback. jd45.

I don't have one myself (the Rodeo)....but from everything I have heard and read on them....everyone seem's to like them.
The only complaint I have heard is the bead blasted finish isn't real nice looking. But that is how they kept the price down on them.

 I have the 5 1/2" 45  colt rodeo.  I think the gun is great.  It is accurate and the feel of the gun is just like the colt.  I don't mind the finish.  It looks pretty good IMHO.  The case coloring on the hammer looks real pretty though.  Beside, you can't beat an american made gun.  The firing pin and hammer are also like the colts.  I would highly recommend the rodeo.

I have the 45 Colt 5 1/2 " Rodeo & love it; accurate & very well made. Only problem I had was buying it in the 1st place. Had a devil of a time finding a dealer who could/would take the effort to order one (nobody in my neck of the woods caries USAF firearms) & then once I did fine a dealer to place an order it took almost 9 months for the gun to be shipped from USAF. I also have a 45 Colt AWA Peacekeeper & would be hard pressed to decide which I like the most.
