Possibly--probably??--if Robert Krentz had been armed when he was shot dead on his ranch in Arizona the story would be different.
NOW--I am not going to play armchair quarterback over this tragic incident--we will never know--and--it is tragic enough to say that it happened. I don't know if he was armed or not.
The point is--or should be well taken--that in this world today, and forever, really, that you are your own first line of defense. If he had survived would he still own that ranch, or, would it be given to his attackers? I don't know!
This is my take though. He might still be alive. The other folks would not know what the final outcome was. If the courts gave it too the survivors it would be after some time and and after IT was pried from me.

what if you planted  using a post hole drill like the size of a power pole rig. you know about 15feet deep= several /3ft diam  saving some space too.  Jim
