Are these as good as the CZ's in 9mm mak?  A while back on another forum these was talk about the cz being a tad better over the orginal makarov.  The CZ82 is still a C&R and $219 with free shipping at www.aimsurplus.com  The cz82 is double action on the first shot too.

If your after a real makarov in 9/18 for your collection thats ok too.  But if your after any pistol in 9mm mak 9/18 i would think the CZ82 is it.  I passed on the higher priced mak for the cz.  I know we won't be seeing the orginal mak's for too much longer too nor the cz82's.

You know there going to screw us C&R guys on the price of the mak too?  Everything C&R is a tad higher in price lately.

Actually the pistol you are referring to is the Polish P64 made by Random. While it is chambered in
the 9X18 Makarov round it isn't a Makarov. It has a single stack 6 round mag. Roughly the size of
a Walther PPK.

True Makarovs Come from Russia, China, East Germany, & Bulgaria. They have a single stack
8 round mag. They are a bit larger than the P64.

Several other pistols are chambered in the 9X18 Makarov round. The Hungarian made PA63
and the CZ 82 are popular right now. Out of all the pistols mentioned here though most people
agree that the CZ 82 is the one to get if you could only have one. It is similar in size to the
Makarov, but it is much more refined. The single and double action trigger pulls of the CZ 82
are pretty smooth the way they come. For a lot of people, pistols in this caliber are real
addicting. Once you get one, you are not going to stop until you get them all. Maybe even
multiples of each!

My CZ82 was $201 shipped from Century International, who now has a July special on them. I could get two for a total of $350 shipped.
Royal Tiger Imports has the P64's at $170. (Shipping NOT included in that price)

The CZ83 is like the exact same pistol, but configured to fire .380.
