A funny thing happened today while we were delivering Gary's Krupp Howitzer to him at the Broomfield Cannon Manufactory. All of a sudden, like a whirlwind, two cross-country travelers arrived at Mike's house, and while the woman distracted us with a circus act involving a 3-dog troop of gyrating
American Rat Terriers, the man slipped past us, grabbed a valued Krupp Gun and vaulted for the door. He left the premises so fast that, even though I had my camera handy, all I got was a blurr!
He was gone! Mike and I turned to grab the woman before she could get away, but to our surprise she escaped in the confusion, but not before grabbing a fully decorated, chocolate, Birthday Cake from Mike's fridge!
Hope you enjoy your Krupp, Double D. Happy Birthday Katherine!

The Krupp with the left-hand loading port and right hand elevation gear assembled and delivered to Gary "Lefty" Lorenz is on the left, of course. Double D.'s S/N 24 on the right.

A happy customer with his gun, in fact the Montana Moderator was grinning quite a bit during his visit today. Leave it to Mike to go on selling after making the sale. He said, "Let us show you how easy it is to fire these Krupp Guns". He then goes through the moves, finally placing a cap on the #10 nipple, closing the breech and cocks the striker. Drum roll......moment of truth......BLAM!! The explosion echoes thru the basement. I muttered, "thank you Lord" under my breath and smiled, matter-of-factly. DD was pleased as punch.
