Im glad you guys arent stamping any dos or donts on the cannon. It leaves room for my experimental nitroglycerin and homemade plastic explosive charges and I can't wait to test them!

(relax... i'm teasing!)

Nitro? Plastic explosives? isn't that a little old school ?

What you aren't going to try to split the atom in the chamber?

Stamping the warnings ASSUMES several things, like, one's ability to read, each individual actually reading AND understanding the cautions, AND taking responsible actions.   For SOME that might be too much to assume.

Allen you must be clairvoyant or something.  We will have an update with photos tomorrow which we planned a week ago, depending on the plater's schedule, of course.  We filled the old Suburban with 370 parts weighing a total of 360 pounds yesterday at 10:00 A.M.  They did a superior job.  Our Special Instructions to them was:  No Scratches and no red or purple tubes will be accepted.  They followed these to a 'T'.  No errors that we have found yet.  All parts that we have unwrapped so far have been jet black.  Hopefully we can have them all assembled and shipped by next Wednesday.

Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets

The thing is a real piece of work ! there is So many things to play with on this one !

Kabar2 , it surely wasn't my intention to make anyone jealous .........                 much  ;)
The more I mess with it the more I like it .

and you will too when the long dark cast of waiting is over for you  .

little gigaws and dodads to play with on this thing ..........Shiny too Old School machining and design . The attention to detail is magnificent , it's really something to see

Behold   :o   maybe is a better word , if a word could even convey quality and gleam it emits  :'(

Kabar2 I will use my very limited power of persuasion to influence the order , timing of your gun . :o and it's delivery .

Not that I would that wish anyone to be in the grip of a deadly sin ...........like jealousy . ::)

A funny thing happened today while we were delivering Gary's Krupp Howitzer to him at the Broomfield Cannon Manufactory.  All of a sudden, like a whirlwind, two cross-country travelers arrived at Mike's house, and while the woman distracted us with a circus act involving a 3-dog troop of gyrating American Rat Terriers, the man slipped past us, grabbed a valued Krupp Gun and vaulted for the door.  He left the premises so fast that, even though I had my camera handy, all I got was a blurr!
He was gone!  Mike and I turned to grab the woman before she could get away, but to our surprise she escaped in the confusion, but not before grabbing a fully decorated, chocolate, Birthday Cake from Mike's fridge!

Hope you enjoy your Krupp, Double D.     Happy Birthday Katherine!

Mike & Tracy

The Krupp with the left-hand loading port and right hand elevation gear assembled and delivered to Gary "Lefty" Lorenz is on the left, of course.  Double D.'s S/N 24 on the right.

A happy customer with his gun,  in fact the Montana Moderator was grinning quite a bit during his visit today.  Leave it to Mike to go on selling after making the sale.  He said,  "Let us show you how easy it is to fire these Krupp Guns".  He then goes through the moves, finally placing a cap on the #10 nipple, closing the breech and cocks the striker.   Drum roll......moment of truth......BLAM!!  The explosion echoes thru the basement.  I muttered, "thank you Lord" under my breath and smiled, matter-of-factly.  DD was pleased as punch.

Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets

Tracy,

I was prepared to say some really nice things about you guys after today...then you post flame material...The Dogs are American Rat Terriers and of no relationship what so ever in any way shape or form other than being a canine to those neurotic little ankle nipping  Jack Russel's.  I'll overlook your lack of good taste this time because you let me walk out the door with the first  Krupp gun-even ahead of Gary!!! Under such conditions the insult can be overlooked.  However next time you see the dogs don't be surprised if one of them bites you and they don't nip.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No. 19 on the Left is the unique L model going to Rocklock.

Mike and Tracy make the first delivery!

The Cheeks are incredible,  The texture left from pickling the scale of the hot roll plate then bluing is fantastic.

Oh yeah and all I heard all afternoon from the wife.  was how nice iot was of you guys to get her a birthday cake.  It was a good cake.

We sure appreciate those compliments about our Krupp Kannon fellas.  Gary almost waxes poetic about his and DD loves the finish on the cheeks, so what do I do.  I insult his terrific terriers!  I humbly apologize Montana guy. I plead ignorance as I have been a big dog guy all my life with Shepherds, Labradors and Mastiffs.  Mike and I sure had fun 'splaning all about the Cannon Manufactory during your visit.  Hope Gary's neighbors are still tolerant and we wish God speed to the good folks from Montana who have,  "Maryland or Bust" painted on their travel trailer.   ;D

Just one question for you, Tim.  Have you ever considered the fact that a Krupp Calendar would have 12 monthly pictures that all looked identical?  Not a criticism, just wondering, that's all.  At least with a cow calendar you get some variety with the Guernseys, the Jerseys, the Herefords, the Holsteins, the Angus, etc.

I will vehemently deny any part in influencing that comment. You did say Paypal was fine, right Dan?

Chassis or no, there would probably be plenty of variety in the pictures.  There's any manner of angles and environments they could be shot in, and some may be in action while others just looking cool. 8)

Of course, some chassis options would be nice, and you could always make a custom long barrel one for yourselves just to be completely different... ;)

That's the beauty of fine craftsmanship!  I.e.: to see 12 DIFFERENT perspectives of 12 identical cannons!  Just look at the pictures posted thus far - there are two (of the horizontal format) that could compete; each tells a very different story!
