Why a Henry?

 Hi, I would like to know why you would buy a Henry rifle?
 For me here is why: 3 years ago, I bought a H001 lever act. rifle, the Henry ''base'' model.Since then, it was very acurate in target shooting and no problem at all.A week ago, I read on a forum that the front sight was made of plastic. I examined the parts and they were plastic. My male pride got very low and I was shure that I couldn't touch the targets any more with plastic sights. I e-mailed Mr Imperato, the president of Henry compagny my big problems... His answer came back as fast as a Henry rifle: he wrotes this : send your name tel N. address and we will send you replacement metal parts at no charge. WOW. Custommers service like that is a good reason to buy a Henry, Made in America.

Last winter I lost my magtube from my henry 22 mag. >:( Emailed Henry to buy a new one, CS took my address & sent me a new one free. Plus I love the way it carries. Just a cool little gun. I would buy another Henry in a heartbeat, if I had any money that is

You'r right. I personnally own a company and know the importance of the custommers service. I never saw a custommers service coming close to Mr Imperato's one. Before I bought my first H001, 3 years ago, I did sent e-mails to Mr Imperato and he religiously always answered all my questions and I was not even a custommer at that time. After I got my first Henry, I kept sending e-mails questions and always got the same pleasant answers. Do you know an other President taking time to answer an individual custommer? And a Canadian custommer in particular? I make business with Canadian and American compagnies and never saw a so devoted person. Americans can be proud of the Henry's products and of the President.

A good point for Henry is that there is a nice choice of more than 22 models of lever action. One of them is really super The Golden Boy Military Service Tribute Edition! WOW, if the money was there it woul be it.
 More than 12 lever action models in 22 caliber, even models for youth. Compare the wood on these rifles, nice wood grade for a rifles at those prices. I like to have the catalog's year matching with my H. rifle: 2007, model H001 and 2007 H. catalog and 2010 Golden Boy and 2010 catalog.
Fun and easy to order the year's new catalog but hard to resist to those beauties!
Nice to have an American product like a Henry rifle

I bought my Henry because I still think that "Made in America" matters, and the Henry is allegedly 100% American.  I compared the quality of the Golden Boy .22LR to a few other lever-action rifles, and the quality of the wood, the heft of the octagonal barrel, the smoothness of the action, well, every aspect of the Henry just seemed to be a class ahead of the others.  And when all is said and done, it is just a beautiful rifle.

Hats off to Mr. I and the whole crew there at Henry RAC!

I have to admit,thats damn good service. I have a marlin 60 with a missing mag tube and I'm going to have to pay 30 bucks for one.

Something else to consider:  No external safeties hanging off a Henry lever action rifle.  

   (FYI:  I like both Marlin's and Rossi's also folks, just addressing the safeties here only.  ;))

Take a look at a Marlin these days....big honkin' bolt safety strapped on it now.   Look at a Rossi 92, some kind of twisty safety knob mounted square in the middle of the bolt; right in front of your face at the top too.    Now.....look at a Henry Big Boy and nothing but clean and simple.  Yes, if you look inside a Big Boy you can find the transfer bar safety, but it doesn't interfere with normal operation and it keeps the outside of your Henry clean looking.

There are mods for the other levers out there to remove their safeties and clean them up, but then you're going down that path... :-\

I agree, Henry customer service is outstanding, the guns are nice and have no funky safety! The transfer bar is out of sight riding in the hammer.

I have nothing but good to say about Henry.  Have swapped notes with the CEO about a minor problem with a rifle i bought used.  Problem resolved free of charge.   Henry is tops for customer service.

On top of that, my base model .22 is dead accurate and lots of fun to shoot!

Now if you're Thinking that I'm just a Henry Man,, Think Again.  I've also got a Marlin 39A and it's a Sleeping in The Gun Closet Whilst The Henry is out haveing Fun.  Why,, Because my Marlin 39A Like's to be Tinkered with,, But The Henry Like's to Go Shooting and have Fun,

I have heard very few negatives about Henry rifles. I do own a Big Boy in .44 mag and wouldn't trade it for anything. I own 19 Marlin leverguns and the Henry is every bit as smooth and reliable as the Marlins. How many corporations do you know where everyone can talk the the CEO one to one. More companies should adopt Henry's business practices.

I just bought my first Henry a couple weeks ago. Its a Henry Fronteir in 22lr. I very happy with the quality of the rifle and also the accuracy of it. I also own a Browning 22 lever action so I am not new to lever gun either. Being USA made and the customer service reputation of the Henry company was some of the reasons why I bought one. But after seeing and shooting/owning one I will be buying another. I think it will be the pump action 22 next.

I have both the 22 lr and the 22 mag standard models . both are terrific shooters and are lightweight, handy and reliable.  there is nothing wrong with them.  sure, its not a 39a. the new 39a's aren't either and cost twice as much as a Henry. I'd rather buy a gun that works right from a company who cares about making a good product.  both of these have made it onto my favorite guns list.  I should have both one of these years ago but back then I was a snob and didn't know better. (now I do)

I bought a Frontier model Henry (H001T) because it was available at Cabela's and no Marlin 39s.  I was also led by the price ($339 and a $70 discount if you applied for Cabela's card -- which I did).  This rifle is a joy and customer service at Henry is ABSOLUTELY top grade.  I had a minor sight issue (front sight bent) and within 36 hours of notifying Henry, the new sight was on my doorstep.  I've also just bought a Golden Boy 22LR for the wife.  Still looking for a 39, but I'm looking less the more I shoot this Henry!  Great gun, great company!  John
