« on: July 11, 2010, 02:03:37 AM »
this is an old Japanese scout knife that my brother in law got in 1954 this blade gets a good edge and holds it,i have put a piece of the spalted curly jarrah for the handle this wood is awesome 2 coats of boiled linseed on it so far no stain   the colors are outstanding it has come out a little like a riflemans knife.

While it doesn't look like any Japanese knife I've ever seen, I assuming that you're using the term differently, that handle did come out nicely. Good sized to handle a good sized blade.
