I've been looking for RN bullets for reloading in my 45 pt1911 ar. I did read on a few websites that rainier bullets (230gr or 200gr) are of a more pointed bullet then a RN and have a tendency to jam. Anyone have any experience shooting these in a Taurus 1911. If this were to be a problem i may be better off buying win or rem fmj?

I shot basic 230gr lead round nose from Missouri Bullet Company in mine and it was fine with those loads (the gun itself had a few problems feeding in general- slide to frame fit was crappy, but that had nothing to do with those rounds)

The H&G style lead semi-wadcutter, 200gr, is made by most bullet makers. This bullet seems to work well in any 1911. PM me and I'll send you a few to try.

For any casters or those that know fellas that do, the Lee #90351 230 gr RN works perfectly in mine.

I have shot the Rainer 200 gr HP which is sort of a truncated cone bullet. It works perfectly in all my 1911s and the Ruger P90 and P345 and Taurus PT145. The pointy profile works fine in all of them.
