Winchester Model 70's With Synthetic Stock

A few years back Wal Mart was selling Winchester model 70 rifles (in a number of
calibers .270, 30-06, 7 mm Mag, and 300 Win. Mag) with synthetic stocks and
scopes at greatly reduced prices. Does anyone know anything the quaility of
those rifles and their general accuracy?

Many will probably respond negatively, but both me and a friend of mine bought one of them... Super Shadow models I believe they were named, mine is a 270 and his is a 30-06. in any event I left mine stock( other than free floating the barrel and good barrel prep) and it shoot's under half inch groups all day with Handloads if I do my part and very good with Federal Power-Shocks. He replaced his stock with an HS Precision and it shoot's as tight as you would want in any rifle and rivels my 270.... wonder what mine would do if I put an HS on it ?
I heard about some negitive things about ther WSM and WSSM chamberings for these models, but for regular chamberings, nothing but good.

I bought a 300 WSM back then, excpept I bought mine from an individual.  It has a camo plastic stock.  The person who sold me the rifle had put a lightweight Tubbs firing pin in the bolt and the safety was hard to operate.  I finally put a Jewell trigger in it and had as much in the trigger and gunsmithing as I paid for the rifle.

Works perfectly now and I am happy with the outcome.  Wish all my rifles could have Jewell triggers.  Worth every cent.  Rifle shoots good too.  I have never shot a 1/2" group in my life but I read a lot about them, so based on what everyone else is claiming, I expect my Mod 70 is as good as anyone elses, if not even better.

I have a Mod 70 BLACKSHADOW,chambered in 7MM Rem Mag.It shoots factory,and handloads very well. I've taken a few Whitetails with it.I won this rifle on a gun ticket,not a bad $20 investment.

I also bought mine used.  I have it in .300 WSM and love the brute.  She shoots anything from 150 gr. to  220 gr.  I put a Nikon 3-9x scope on it:



I also have one in .25 WSSM and this is my varmint gun.  I bought this one from Bass Pro:



This gun is partial to 75,85, and 100 gr bullets.  I have a Burris Fullfield II scope on  her.  I love this one also.  People think that low cost means cheap.  Not so!

I have 2 of the $400 Super Shadow rifles, 270WSM and 300WSM...........they were a steal, both shoot MOA and better, I would like to have one in 325WSM, not sure if they made them though.............
