1886 in 50-110, 20 inch barrel, straight stock, full magazine, 3 leaf express sight.
+1, but make mine with a 24 or 26 inch barrel
I'm just a bitter Christian clinging to my gun.

Marlin 336 Deluxe with the real walnut checkered stock in 7x30 waters, wonder what it would cost to rebarrel a 336  30-30?

Well here's my start.
Savage 99 in 358
Marlin 336 in 35 Rem.
Marlin 39A in 22
Win. 88 in 338 Federal
Win. 94 in 30/30
Win. 64 in 30/30
I would by another lever if I could find a nice Win. 88 in 243, and I had a Win.94/410 that I sold, my mistake on that one.

.327 Federal Magnum...   That would be a great small game gun!
My FFL holder requires any firearms to be shipped to them via another FFL holder.  So, If I make an offer on a firearm please let me know if this is capable of being done from the start.  Please do NOT mark an item "SPF" to me until we "both" are happy with and in agreement on shipping, funds and the transaction in general.   Thanks

I don't really have any dream caliber/gun wishes but I'd like to see a lever in .327 magnum.

I think a .327 would be very tempting. Would make a cool coyote gun for farm and woodlots and a nice companion to a Blackhawk.

Calibers in a lever gun...

In Winchester firearms:

Pistol Calibers: .25-20, .32-20, .38-40, .44-40...

Rifle Calibers: .40-65, .45-70...

Bill

I'm just wondering what pistols were chambered in 25/20WCF?  I always thought it was a rifle cartridge...

  DM

There may not have been any, at least not production models.  Just think of the machining and fitting required to make that much of a bottleneck cartridge function in a revolver--on a production basis.  Notice that the bottlenecks on the 32-20, 38-40 and 44-40 are very slight.  The 25-20 is more of a shrunken 30-30.

Winchester mod 94 in 45 LC. Winchester 1886 or the Browning clone, or the 95 Winchester in 405 Winchester. The 405 was Teddy Roosevelts favorite rifle. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I would like to see a Marlin 44 mag with a shortened magazine tube and lightweight stock and forearm.  Maybe in an 18" barrel.  I think they could get this down to 5 lbs.  Maybe with a removable or colapsable stock so it could be backpacked.  Less trouble with authorities than a pistol especially if one wants to hike the Appalachian trail in various states.

In the 1894 Winchester I like the 38-55.   In the Winchester 1886 the 40-65.   Either one will "make my day." ;D

Another vote for the 25-35 Win in an octagon-barreled Marlin. Any length from 20 to 26" would suit me just fine. Straight grip stock, of course.

A Browing lever could handle the 7.62x39 since they already handle other larger calibers.  Brownings are not easy to work on though.

I may be all wet, but I distinctly remember seeing a Marlin 57 or similar (one piece stock) chambered in .30 carbine, back when the Shooter's Bible was Stoeger's catalog and you could buy guns through the mail.

How about a Sav 99 or Win 88 in .308? Wait a minute, I already have them. How about one in a .338 Federal or 7mm-08? I have always thought that the .325WSM in a BLR would be interesting.
