My dream rifle would be a Marlin 1894 chambered in 32H&R. Would have a 24 or 26" Octagon barrel. Would be D&T from factory for receiver sight and would have a curved pistol grip with checking. Could be blued or SS. This would make an exceptional pistol cartridge rifle for cowboy silhouette.

Oh I would like a 26" octagon barreled SS 39A too.

Winchester takedown trapper in .41 magnum. My dream custom is a wild west guns co-pilot in .357 with brockman laminate stocks, williams fire sight up front and skinner rear sight.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on; I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them.

I have a short list of stuff I want. Nothing fancy, just working guns.

Marlin 336 take down with a .30/30, .25-35 and .38-55 barrel sets.

Marlin 1894 take down with .32-20 and .25-20 barrel sets.

Would like to see a Puma 92 in 41mag and 256Win. Have a Puma 454 and 2 Win 92s in 25/20 and 32/20 and thinking on turning one of the Wins into a 256Win.

My dream rifle is a nice original Winchester '94 carbine in .25-35 or a Marlin 336 rebarreled to .25-35 with 1-14" twist for light bullets. I'd like the Marlin to have a 22" slim taper barrel with buckhorn rear sights and a bead front sight.

I would like to see the Marlin and others chambered in 357 maximum.

Why the .357?

I have a Winchester 92 in 44mag simply because I already owned several 44 mag revolvers when I bought it. I try to keep low the number of different calibers I own to make easier keeping up with ammo supplies.
However I did consider the .357 cartridge when I bought my 92 in 44mag.

Got to say the Marlin 1894 in the .475, 500 class of cartridge. Even a .454 would be great. Love the lines on the winchesters and the way they hang in my hand for carrying, but in my humble opinion the side ejection, and mounting options offered by the Marlins outweigh this. 15 or twenty year younger eyes may not care that much for the optics, but we cant go back....

 8) I have 4 dream calibers for a Lever Action, all readily available.  What is not available is the cash.

the calibers are:
1) 22LR
2) 22 Mag
3) 357 Mag and
4) 30-30 Win.

I've had more.  Those include
5) 44 Mag
6) 444 Marlin
7) 45-70 and
8) 30-06

I no longer dream of the 444, 45-70, and 30-06 because arthritis is making my shoulders wimpy, weak, and easily pained.

 :'(

I recently got rid of the 30-06 and 444 because I made the mistake of shooting them and I could hardly stand up, let lone take a second shot.  I went home, took as asprin and whined for a while.

Getting more experienced sucks.   >:(

win 94 carbine in 30/30 top eject. One of those made in the 70's with walnut stocks and the receiver that rusted and could not be reblued. Of course I have one. I engine turned the receiver, It looks great. I think someware arround SN 4,500, 000 the 94s became quality guns better than pre 64s. I do not think that for me there is a chambering equal to the 30/30.

.38/.357 Magnum.....why?  This lever action rifle can use two (2) different calibers and one of them is a Magnum, if necessary.  Can be used to hunt with and for just about any other requirement.  Marlin would be my choice in the rifle and in the above mentioned caliber.

A stainless/walnut Marlin Model 39A, slightly modified & chambered to .22 Magnum.

A re-intro by Winchester (most likely made by Miroku, now) of the non-ported, .444 Winchester 94 BigBore 20" Carbine.  While I prefer the TE, an AE would be acceptable.

Marlin
A)Rimfire.
26" barrel
in 32 Rim fire or 32 S&W.
Quiet litte back yards and small game rifle.

B) Cowboy rifle in stead of 45-70 in 30-30.
Ditto the 32 S&W, as well as the 327 Federal magnum.  I think the 32 would be a great small game round, certainly more powerful than 22 LR.

Marlin 95 in 45-90. My current overall favorite is 1886 in 45-90. A new marlin in this cartridge with modern metal would be great! :D

I'd like to find a lever action, with an exposed hammer, something around 7lbs or so, with a tube feed.  A 30 cal. bullet, say around 150 / 170 grains, at about 2100 / 2200 fps. would be good whitetail medicine.   All I seem to see is rifles with weird something or another MM shells, handles on them that look like door latches, or the kind that look like they are painted black, an just keep shooting every time you touch the trigger...
Any ideas?.................. ::)

big easy...

something like that would never sell.  Not only that.. bullets that light and slow would just bounce off of deer and hogs.  You couldn't shoot somethin' like no more than about 175 yds max.  Everyone knows that real huntin' is done at 400 yds and more nowadays.  Tube feed?  You are just jokin' on us now, right?  Come on... if if don't have a DBM it ain't no good.  And really, 7lbs?  A real rifle STARTS at 7lbs and then you gotta get a sling, a scope big enough to study Saturn with and a laser pointer and a flashlight on it.  Then you gotta stick some extra batteries in the grip or stock and a then you gotta load a whole box of ammo in it's mag.  Shoot if if don't weigh at LEAST 9.5 lbs it just won't shoot good...

Good luck on whatever kind of voodoo rifle you're dreamin' of.  It'll NEVER happen...
