I don't think that bullet is intended for the velocity range the 7TCU can send it down range. In the 7TCU I think the best choices are the Sierra 130 SSSP, the Hornady 120 SSP and the Nosler 120 BT. These can all be driven fast enough in a 10" barrel to expand properly on game to 150 yards or a tad more which is as far as I'd personally recommend using the 10" 7TCU.

I sorta agree with Bill. Any lightweight 7mm bullet is likely to be constructed for use as a varmint type bullet, for the 7mm rifles. Just exactly how explosive they are would depend on the velocity. Excepting, of course, any of the SSP bullets, their name is self-explanatory.
My personal favorite for the 7mm TCU is 30gr BLC-2, under a Sierra 120gr softpoint (flatbase), or the 120gr Nosler Ballistic tip, small rifle primer. They offer excellent performance, for me, out of my 10" bbl. Velocity is between 2000-2100fps, depending on the bullet, and OAL. Inch-or-so groups at 100, are the norm. I have another load using an AA powder but, my data isn't available right now. I think it uses AA2460. Interestingly, it prints to the same POI as the BLC-2 loading.
Two good sources for the 7mm TCU, are the Hodgdon #24, and the Accurate #1 manuals. They are the only two I own that list the 7mm TCU. It goes without saying, the Contender load book is probably the best. Good luck,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bug.
