I never made it a practice of checking "age of consent' rules around the world...I have no intention of ever coming anywhere near close to violating the laws which protect children... I would suppose if One were to have intentions of doing so, they would keep a close watch of the various statutes.

Seems we have disagreeing websites..however, real men don't need legal loopholes..they know very well they should protect and not abuse children. In fact, most real men would quickly show the proof of this contention to one who does such things.

SECTION 2. Section 97-3-65, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

97-3-65. (1) The crime of statutory rape is committed when:

(a) Any person seventeen (17) years of age or older has sexual intercourse with a child who:

(i) Is at least fourteen (14) but under sixteen (16) years of age;

(ii) Is thirty-six (36) or more months younger than the person; and

(iii) Is not the person's spouse; or

(b) A person of any age has sexual intercourse with a child who:

(i) Is under the age of fourteen (14) years;

(ii) Is twenty-four (24) or more months younger than the person; and

(iii) Is not the person's spouse.

(c) Neither the victim's consent nor the victim's lack of chastity is a defense to a charge of statutory rape.

And, in fact, if the child is under 14, the pervert has committed a capital offense.

Do you need someone to remind you to breathe? It is illegal for someone 17 or over to have sex with someone under 16. If the child is under 14, then it is illegal for anyone to have sex with them. If a 15 year old has sex with another 15 year old, it is not illegal (which one would be prosecuted?). No contradiction there. Let me repeat, no contradiction there. In Va. now they tell me if the couple is over 2 years age difference its rape in many cases .
I'm not sure why its important to insist on age of consent when it is impossible to consent when druged or drunk in most states .
This Poor excuse of a male took advantage of a young girl . He let his personal pleasure control his action with total disregard for the mental and physical well being of a child . He cannot be defended and I would guess he is paying someone to let him stay where he is . God can and will judge him ( and for those who do not believe in God , may you find him before you die ) .

I will say this Statutory Rape is mans law. Nature tell teenagers when to start having sax. When those hormones start raging they are going to have sex! No law, no regions’ teaching or anything else is going to stop them.
A lot of good kids, boys go to jail for consensual sex, while the girl walks away, to crawl into bed with the next guy that strikes her fancy. This is just not right! Put them both in jail or jail no one!

10 years ? I got out of high school in 74 . Went to a small school 26 or so in my senior class . I know of one marriage of a student and teacher and 3 teachers "dating" students in that school . And one such teacher in clooege .
