I had a model 4506-1 for a while, which is the longer barrel version of the model 4566. I can't knock the performance of the pistol as it was always reliable and built like a T34 russian tank, but if I were you I would look for a gun with a little more refinement. There are pistols on the market that I think handle easier and are less clunky than the Smith autos but that is just my opinion. BTW, there weren't many holster choices available for the 4506 and the next time (if there is a next time) I buy another semi-auto I will pick the holster first and then buy the pistol that fits it!
