Online vendors?
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:00:29 AM »
When making a new purchase who do you deal with?  I'm looking for good price and dependable folks to deal with.  There are a couple or more items I want to pick up before the end of the week, or at least get them ordered.  I'm just looking for a good supplier.  Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm confused.  What kind of supplier of what items?  If it's not knife related, then you may have posted in the wrong forum.

I have dealt with Smokey Mountain for Case pocket knives that I give as gifts.  No problems.  I've been to there store in TN also.

Smokey Mountain is the only place I've dealt with and had real good luck.  As a matter of fact, I'll be stopping by there in about 3 weeks as I pass by on my way to visit my daughter.  They're about the only place I knew of which is the reason for the post.  Always looking for something different.

I'll check out Bear Cutlery also.  Friend of mine recently moved to about 40 miles outside Birmingham.  He wouldn't mind giving me a hand if necessary.

I've had good experiences with Smoky Mtn Knifeworks, AG Russell, Cutlery Shoppe.  I know that there are couple more, but I can't remember their names.  HAHA.

I've bought the most from SMKW over the years, both on-line and at the shop.  I got a Buck Nighthawk from there once, that I didn't check before I left.  I got back to the hotel, opened the box, and the blade hadn't been sharpened at all, just a dull bar.  Took it back and showed the manager and he let me exchange it for a different knife altogether.

I like New Graham Knives. http://newgraham.com/store/
Their store is not far from me so I do more FTF than online with them.
