wreckhog, I'm sure that if Palin wouldn't have been picked, Levi could have gone up to VF, and tried to give an interview. He would have been thrown out the door. He seen money and fame, but only because of Sarah.
As far as kids with dads, crime, drug abuse, all goes up without a father. Look at the black community. More single moms popping out kids, men just thinking with the small head. Not just mental illness. Life in general. gypsyman

Greta Van Sestron interviewed Bristol Palin here in Fairbanks, during the Iron Dog Snow Machine race.  I think Greta may also have interviewed Sarah down in Wasilla.

I do hope Levi has gotten his head straight.  I also hope the Media will stay out of their lives.  It's up to them as to wheather they will ignore the media or let them ruin their relationship, just for ratings.  Levi has had some insight so maybe he will stay away from the fame.

I do hope they can make a go of it.

This all sounds like the stuff for a good soap!

Guys, I like Sarah.  That said, reading this discussion reminds me of, well, ladies tea after church.  It's kind of funny.  How about some talk about Denali adventures :D ;D :D ;D

I'm an old gal, and I like a little soap now and then. And I like Sarah Palin.  But OK, how about this Wyoming wildlife News---  Here In Wyoming they have closed the campgrounds on the Upper Green River to overnight camping, because of the numerous problems lately with Grizzlies tearing up camps. The Upper Green river has been known for years as the "Australia" for problem bears. Fish and Game has a history of relocating problem grizzlies to this area for years. I always thought it kinda stupid, since the Upper Green is a popular flyfishing and camping area.

Now back to our regular programming....

Sarah scares the crap out of the dems and other libs. She's not only a gun owner but shoots and hunts, a real nightmare. She's a Christian, instead of killing her handicapped baby she let it live, loves it and is raising it, yep another dem nightmare, pro life. Against gay marriage, darn it, theres that Christian thing again the dems fear so much. She works for a living, another strike against her. She has high moral standards and family values, another strike against her for sure.
I like her a lot but dislike the way she has supported some libs, especially mccain, he's nothing but a rino and she needs to stay away from him. She has faults but way ahead of many, if not most out there. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

One person I can find nothing on is Levi's father.  No one I know knows anything about him either.  Do know that his mother was convicted of drug dealing, and sent to prison.  So what are his parenting skills going to be like?

Another couple thoughts. They say the wedding is in 6 weeks. That is roughly the start of the fall TV season. Though I guess summer in AK means you get it done in a smaller window. But they have a lot of close, living female relatives. For the first marriage in that generation, I assume that the ladies would be going out of their minds over 6 weeks to plan a wedding. Odd.

I am still a drill baby drill propionate! We have enough oil here in this country to get off Arab oil all to gather, if it were not for the stupid eco freaks!
Yes they had an oil spill in the gulf. It is not the end of the world! Nature puts out many times the pollutants than man.
There is no magic energy solution out there in the near term. We can drill and compete with the rest of the world or become a third world country.

I will say one thing, if Sarah was in charge we would not be drilling so far out in deep water till after we had drilled all the places on land that has oil.  We have lots of oil in the National Patrolium Reserve NPR, and in the Artic National Wildlife Refuse ANWR.  It has been proven that the wild life is not disturbed by drilling, or pipelines.  I personally have seen Caribou feeding within 20 yards of an active drilling rig.  And Caribou cows giving birth in the only shade on the North Slope, under the Oil Pipe Line.

We have the oil, we just have to open it up so that it is accessiable.  The environmental groups are convinced that if they can stop drilling they will force us to go green.  Therefore they put up these road blocks to drilling.  What they can not understand is that the oil companies just look elsewhere.  The enviromental groups can only stop drilling in the US, and other contries are loving it.

Sarah is well versed on oil operations.  Her Husband and a lot of her friends are oil field workers.  As Alaska Governor she was exposed to some really big oil blunders by the oil companies.  She came down on the oil companies hard.  She pulled permits and they took her to court.  She won.   BP and Exxon Mobil were the two she went after.  She imposed new regulations, and enforced old ones that had not been enforced.  The Oil Companies do not like her one bit.

Maybe I'm old fashioned. I don't get why Bristol would take Levi back so soon if at all. I believe in redemtion but after what Levi did I would have to give him more time to prove himself. The fact that he skanked out with Kathy Griffin,(a Palin basher), and did the Playgirl photo spread and the cheesy comercials for nuts and stuff and was so mean spirited toward the Palins,....I don't get it. Griffin is just gross and I wouldn't want to put myself in that catagory by taking this little dirtbag back so soon. Makes me think that Bristol's Christian roots don't run very deep. Which is very sad. If I was Bristol I would be grossed out by him and the things he has done and it would take more time to get past that. More time to witness his repentance to see if it's real. And a concerted effort on Levi's part to prove himself.

It seems to me from Sourdough's post about hockey there is a pattern here. Seems he handles his personal life in the same manner. How long before he gets penalized and/or thrown out of the game again.

I don't even pretend to know what goes on in the female mind or heart. Sometimes I don't think they do either.

I would not even participate in this gossip but I like the Palins and would be happy to hear that they lived happly ever after in Alaska without all the drama. I don't care if Sarah runs for office. I like her more as a person than a politician.

I wouldn't wish all that publicity on the Sourdough family......But oh the irony of it all if she took up with the guy that beat the tar out Levi and showed him up on the ice in hockey.

If you don't drill the oil on your land, it ain't going anywhere. If you drill the oil offshore, you get it before anyone else. So simple, even a caveman gets it.

No worry about my family getting involved with the Palins.  Sky has signed up with the Marines.  When he finishes College he will go into the Marine Aviation Program.  Women are not part of his plans at this point.

A very good friend of mine, who is the most intelligent person I know has said many times when describing teenage kids.  "Girls use sex to get love, Boys use love to get sex".  She also says "SELDOM does the love gained through sex last for the girl".  "USUALLY as soon as the Boy gets the sex, the love is gone".  When I sit down and look at all the people I have known and their experiencies, I have to agree she is right.  Very few times does it really work out, and then they have to work at it.  While Bristol may be up to the challenge of working at it.  The question will be is Levi up to it?

I honestly hope they do.

My hunting partner and buddy raised two daughtors.  He raised them with very conservative views, and real strict rules in his house.  They were not allowed to date till he and his wife thought they were ready.  The oldest graduated high school a year and a half early, and wanted to start college.  They held her back for a year because they were afraid for her to be going to school with older college boys.  Then after college she went to law school back east.  They found out she had a male roommate, and went ballistic.  My partner started giving her a hard time about premarital sex.  She suddenly said "Dad I don't want to hear it, I can count" and she hung up the phone.  He looked at his wife and asked what that meant.  His wife reminded him they were married seven months before she was born.  She knew when they were married and she knew her birthday.  So be careful what you say to your kids, they are not dumb.

Don't know what it is but good girls seem to be attracted to bad boys.  Maybe it's the excitement they crave I don't know, but it's a pattern I have been aware of since I started noticing girls way back in Jr High School.
