Which Type of Hunting Terrain is more Productive?
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:30:00 PM »
Fellow Tennessee hunters, which type of terrain do you believe is generally
more productive for deer hunting...wooded level or wooded hilly? Why?

Thanks,

Well I'm not in Tn but was raised in the mountians and currently live in the flatlands. I prefer the hills because maybe I'm more used to them but deer will in the hills will generally travel high and frequent the points and benches of the ridges. Once you learn thier habits hunting the ridges to me is quite a bit more productive.

I prefer hilly because it can cause the deer to funnel through certain areas and it allows you to concentrate on those areas and not waste your time on the less productive areas.
