my new knife
« on: July 15, 2010, 06:53:30 PM »
I have always liked using things during hunting season
that I have made myself. Just about every animal I harvest
gets "Processed" with a knife I make. Here is the one I have
made for the 2010-11 hunting season. I am making a bamboo
backed Hickory bow and River cane arrows also. Arrow points
will be hand forged also. This knife will shave you! I
don't mean arm hair. I actually shaved my chin whiskers with it
Just to prove a point to someone.. ;) Still have to brass pin it
and make a sheath.

Now if I can just get me some critters to skin with it
this fall. I'm gonna run a trap line this year on our hunting lease
so I should give it plenty of work.

S.S. I am looking for a 6-8" longer thicker version of that type blade kind of a skinner but with a 1/4" back for heavy duty working but good metal that would hold an edge I have yet to make a knife any suggestions for who may make such a knife?
