I did it to a couple of my bolts last year and they shoot fine. I use the shrinky vanes on my arrows too.

why would you put fletchings on a bolt? fletchings belong on an arrow

bolts hold things together and arrows are fired from a bow and crossbow.

back in the medieval times a bolt was a feather less arrow that was intended to be shot one time in a battle, is this the type of bolt you are talking about or the bolts that hold the crossbow together? either way you don't need to put fletchings on a bolt

just because a company calls something doesn it mean that it is being called by the correct name.

Peole that are against crossbow hunting use the term bolt to make people think that they shoot something other then arrows and thus shouldent be considered  for hunting during the archery season.

we shoot arrows the only dirrfance between an vertical bow arrow and one fired from a crossbow is the knock

your history is somewhat correct,  as stated above bolts at one time where featherless and intended to be shot one time in battle.

we are shooting arrows.

If I remember corectoly Ford use to be a person's last name and now it is a car company.

it is mostly coming from out own ranks the vertical bow hunters dont want crossboes out in the woods with them,

after the legalities of crossbow hunting were passed here in alabama,
we all hunt together. and no one complains.  i can see a crossbow hunter worried about some of them "150yard", high-dollar verticle bows.... but, they were here first.
