has anyone (besides me) ever run across a taurus hunter revolver? I have one in 44 mag ,stainless with 12" barrel. it is a tack driver ! I have tried looking it up online and found nothing. I bought it in original box and it came with a scope mount in the box. ;D

Taurus no longer make most of the Hunter series , it came in 17 HMR , 22 Hornet , 218 Bee , 357 mag , 44 mag and I think 41 mag , sales were just not enough for them to keep up production .

Used and even new / old stock models can still be found from time to time , I happen to like the guns myself .

I've had two of the 12" .44 magnum guns. The first one tossed two from each cylinder thru the target at 25 yards fully sideways, two partially side ways and two actually hit correctly at that distance. Beyond that range tho the bullets didn't even hit the target sheet.

I sent it back and they replaced it. The new one didn't toss any sideways but was the least accurate .44 mag I've ever owned so I sent it on down the road as well. Based on that limited experience with them I'd not own another if it was free.
