need info on a colt Trooper

I bought a Colt Trooper 22 caliber revolver and went looking for the date of manufacture. The serial number is 'Y183xx' and my book stopped at the early '70s or late '60s with a 'J' prefix serial number. Anyone have a book of access to a manufacture date list? Thanks for the help.. It's in fine shape, nerly new.. Wish I had the box...

Call Colt and they should be able to tell when your trooper was made. Frank

Try www.ProofHouse.com for Colt serial Number and guns date of birth.
