Evidence of 'Barrel Fever'
« on: July 17, 2010, 08:19:54 AM »
There is[was] an auction on GunBroker for a lot of 48 used barrels, all different.
I dont think this is a dealer. Somebody had the fever bad, real bad. My 14,
[16 as of 8/2/10] [18 as of 8/14/10] barrels barely qualify me as feverish.

I would sure like a stainless frame, and a local shop has one. I fear it
would start a new round of insanity for stainless barrels.

If you can get it home, and get the safe door closed on it, before she sees it, then you've "had that one for a while".

 ;D

It also helps if she doesn't know the combo to your safe...

My last barrel [375 Winchester] cost $3100.00 . $200 for the barrel and $2900.00 for the stainless french-door refrigerator. I have no defence.

Since my Old Man is a gun nut.....anytime a new barrel (or any gun for that matter!), my excuse is "That's one of Pop's, he's letting me borrow it for a while."  ;)

Buy the way this also works with AR15 lowers and Uppers, with the addition of "But Honey, when I go shooting with my friends we won't have to take turns and wait while changing uppers and it's only $99 for a lower." of course you don't mention the part where you have to buy trigger, stock, etc to go on it.
