trigger pull
« on: July 17, 2010, 08:32:23 AM »
A friend of mine is a gunsmith, the other day he was over to my house he brought his set of weight to check the trigger pull on my handi. The handi he checked 3 3/4 lb. and the 50 cal huntsman which is band new, checked 1 3/4 is that to low to be safe? I may have put 10 round through it, it is a 2004 stainless 24" barrel. Kernbigo

1 1/4 POUNDS?  Cock it, drop it butt first on the floor from about 8 inches and see if it lets go, if it does it is TOO low.....
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!

I like them to surprise me when it goes off.  I hate to have to concentrate on trigger pull.  Not many people like my guns.  Just leave the barrel in the right direction and it's safe..... :D

In my opinion, your Handi has a decent trigger, but your Huntsman has a Great trigger for a factory gun! How many times did he measure it, there will probably be some in consistancies..

We checked it 2 time,it is great, both time the same. I just wish you could get rid the creep or back lash what ever you want to call it in all of them.  Kernbigo
