« on: July 17, 2010, 01:06:46 PM »
If I just neck size the case should I still use my lee trimmer or do I just measure and make sure the overall case is within specs?   Thanks

All you care about is not exceeding the loaded max case length.  How/when you measure or cut is up to you.

If your neck sizing there must be a reason .........longer case life ........percision loading ........just lazy  ;D . I trim after neck sizing on all my hunting loads , I want all the horses lined up at the same place at the gate so they all have an equil chance at the finish line . Know what I mean ? just my 2 cents worth

It woln't hurt to trim , even with just neck sizing your case's will grow at different rates due to the different alloys of the brass , trimming will make sure your starting form the same point everytime .

That being said , do I always trim after sizing ? NOPE  ;D
