tru-glo vs 45-70?
« on: July 19, 2010, 09:35:39 AM »
I have a tru-glo red dot sight (dicks had them on sale down from $59 to $29 so I picked one up) I was just wondering if any one has tryed them on a 45-70  I have a guide gune with the XS sights and rail I tryed a bushnell trophy and it didn't hold it's zero which I know I might get flak from this but goes along with about every bushnell product I've ever owned. I've had this particular tru-glo on a shotgun and it held up fine with slugs but it was a automatic shotgun (FN SLP).  I handload the 45-70 to about 444marlin energys. Like I said before i have the sight and was thinking using it on my guid gun and had wondered if anyone has put them on a hard recoiling rifle. Thanks for any info.
