Blackie is ready to hunt
« on: July 21, 2010, 12:17:07 PM »
Here is my finished product, G2 with pachmayr decelerator butt grip and a 45x209 G2 barrel cut to 14 inches. The forend in black walnut that I made and then painted black to match the butt grip with a nice black nylon sling and a 2x7x32 NcStar lighted scope. So now when this weather cools down to around 90 instead of a 100 + will get it sighted and ready for the deer season. :) :)

Nice!  That looks like fun--too bad there's no sign of any cooler wx anytime soon.

Well we finally got some cool weather in and took Blackie out and sighted it in for 50 yrds. this thing is fun to shoot. I have a question though seeing as I have already voided my tc life time guarentee by cutting the barrel can I cut the little tip off the bottom of the barrel the thing that keeps you from installing on a reg contender frame and use the G2 frame for sometning else and install this barrel on a regular contender frame, would I have any problems with preasure?

Certainly looks good. This is just my opinion and could be wrong. But being as how the barrel is plugged in the breach I cant see as how it could put undue pressure on the Contender frame. I have heard of others doing this, also there were some custom BP barrels built for the Contender over the years.
