Failure to check to see if the range is clear behind your target before firing.
Smokin' my pipe on the mountings, sniffin' the mornin'-cool,
I walks in my old brown gaiters along o' my old brown mule,
With seventy gunners be'ind me, an' never a beggar forgets
It's only the pick of the Army that handles the dear little pets - 'Tss! 'Tss!

man firing cannon is not wearing safety glasses and will get runned over by the cannon
when he fires it..... gang facing gun is not wearing safety glasses
fellow tied to wheels has no hearing protection or safety glasses.......
this whole thing should be done in a field as on a town street some windows might get broke....
was cannon inspected by NSSA?

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!  Man tied to muzzel is causing a bore obstruction!
He should be at least 6" from muzzel

Yeah I know I broke the rules of one per.... but I couldn't resist....
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

Failure of gunner to stand outside the wheels to avoid recoil, may be caused by short linstock.

The man tied to the muzzle needs to be better secured,  Should the last rip his body in two, this upper half could fling backward toward the man with the cigar, who may be able to avoid it if he were using a proper linstock, but certainly couldn't with the cigar.

That being said, I remember seeing this before.  What movie is it from?

What about how the barrel is mounted? Notice anything odd there?

It's a Hollywood gun. Probably goes Boom 2 or 3 times without reloading.   ;D

Ex 49'er, you're thinking of those earlier Hollywood Revolutionary War type cannons, this later more advanced Tinseltown Western type cannon could probably fire 12 times before reloading was needed. :D

This brings to mind "Open Range"; I really like the flick, but it always cracks me up when the final showdown scene comes around where Costner fans his SA Colt around a dozen times, sending a hailstorm of bullets into the bad guy.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Man shackled to wheels will prevent proper roll out on recoil, thereby transferring too much shock to the carriage.
