16 year old hunting license
« on: July 22, 2010, 10:00:11 AM »
Hello, I'm 15 about to be 16 in a week. I haven't bought my hunting license this year yet. I have a couple questions, Can I hunt alone legally? And would I be better off buying a junior hunt/trap/fish (type 002) license or an annual sportsman license? Can I hunt alone if I buy the junior license? Thanks

You can hunt alone on all but the special juvenile hunts. Check with your local wildlife officer. He will be able to tell you if a Young Sportsman's License is still good for the season if you bought it at 15. I think it is, but I am not sure. It would save you a lot of money if it is.
