Everyone knows wolves never touch deer, but they love lead.

There may be a pocket or 2 around towns in the U.P. with to many deer but overall it certainly isn't the issue. Lets see what happens below the bridge when the wolves continue to increase in numbers.

I wish them luck with the wolves.  Perhaps they'll take care of the T.B. problem ::)  Of course, what do we do with T.B. in wolves ???  It's just nice to see someone else having fun. ;)  It's something to be shared.  I'm sure Labor Day Weekend, all the wolf lovers down there will be out trying to get a look at one of these magnificent creatures......I hope their scopes have crosshairs.

I talked with a buddy who is getting a lot of wolf pictures at his bear bait station. I wonder what happens when the wolf gets a belly full of chocolate?? A while back our lab got some dropped from kids & she had a few issues but recovered fine, it was a relatively small amount. Maybe it's time to step up the dark, high grade chocolate at the bait station??

I don't know if anyone noticed, but there appears to be an early antlerless deer hunt from Sept 16 to the 20th also.  I'm lining up a spot on a local farmer's land to shoot some of his "herd".  lol  Last time he stood and counted in the main field behind his house, there were about 158 does and fawns eating up his crops. 8(  We're going to keep a couple, then donate several "hopefully" to the food pantry here.  Just thought I'd pass it along.  ;)
