my first linebaugh. Its a plain jane 5.5 inch 475. I think if you used sand for powder and rocks for bullets it would shoot into an inch at 25 yards.. Best ruger is my 5.5 inch 44 mag bisley accusport.

Hands down, my Freedom Arms .44 mag Stalker by Mag-na-port.  Shoots into less than 2" at 100 yds all day long!  Second place would have to go to my first Super Blackhawk.  It was an old model and back when I had 'young eyes', I could break clay pigeons with it at 100 yds, then break the pieces!  44 Man

Mine would have to be my Freedom Arms 83 in 44 mag. It's not a large margin (at least with me shooting them) but it does shoot better than my other single actions.

Mine would have to be my Super Blackhawk not that my Uberti bird head 45lc cattleman was less accurate , I just never shot it at the distances I have the SBH so by that measure it wins ;)

My FA 353 will put 180gr XTP's into 1" at 50m with a 4x Leupold scope. 100m Runs about 2 1/2 inches and I have shot a best of 1" at 100m, but I figure that's not repeatable.

I'll have to see how well I do with open sights now that I have one of Ken's front sights....

I have a 6" Colt King Cobra (not single action) that would put 25 shots into slightly over an inch at 20m off hand. It could only do that with really light loads though. I think that some bullet fitting my help for the heavier stuff as the cylinder throats are almost .360"! That was 15 years ago when I could see better  ::)

Last week I'd have said my Abilene (.44 Magnum)...but after trading for this U.S.F.A Rodeo (45 Colt) at the gunshow this weekend...and after firing a few rounds...man, this gun is now my top-dog!  Unreal really...every hole EXACTLY .451...tight as any FA I've ever handled.

A Ruger Single six that I got cheap, because it had a scope mounted and got no bids, I got it for the reserve and bought a rear site for it at a gunshow before I even got it in.  Decided to try it with the scope before removing it, shot a 1" group at 25yds from a rest and I proceeded to shoot small bits of clays all over the range at various distances, oh and the seller didn't even mention that they were sending the extra cylinder, so I got a 22 and a 22mag cylinder and there's about 1" difference in POA from one to the other, and it seems to digest a wide variety of 22's with equal accuracy.   I've had it for 3 years and the scope is still on it, guess I'll leave it on.   It actually took rabbits at 75yds and came real close to prairie dogs at 100+yds.

In my old silhouette days I'd have said my 10" Abilene 44 mag but now it has to be my 10" Freedom Arms 44 mag with a VGM mount and a Leupold 2.5 - 8 on it. Have been experimenting with longer distance shooting with it and been real consistant hitting a full size IPSC target at 500 yards when I do everthing right. Amazing what a revolver can do at the longer distances. I let the owner of the range (Rayners Range in OH) try it out and after showing him how to hold it the same as me and where to hold on the target for wind he rang it twice in a row. Still think he has a smile on his face :)

Eyes much younger than mine, for sure. Not sure I can see a 3" bullseye at that distance.

That's it!  I was thinking about my old Super Blackhawk and realized, I don't have less accurate handguns now than I did when I was in my 20's and 30's.  I have older eyes!  Ha ha.  44 Man

Colt's New Frontier ,6", .22LR that I got used as a b-day present from my wife. It came with the sim. bakelite grips but I found some nos Colt Staglite(?) which really dress it up and fit my long fingered hand better. I dont have group sizes to report, just know that when I pop it at little stuff, and hold well, it hits with great satisfaction.
FWIW, I used to shoot NRA indoor bullseye, so I have a pretty good idea of when a piece works or not. That period was one of the best things I ever did to develope some accuracy disipline, and I highly recommend it.

Ruger Super Blackhawk , 10 bbl , blue . box stock except the trigger was smoothed a bit. Won the NC state IMHSA with it . I was out of state and won over all . But they had not planned for that to happen so they refused to give me the award and later sent one with out of state champ on it . They were sore loosers that day. Gave the real award to a guy I beat by several targets.  ;D

Out to about 80 yds., my FA Mdl. 252 Varmint Special, with a 4X Leupold scope, before I returned the gun to the factory after about 8 years to have the Match chambers opened up. The Match chambers were just too much of a nuisance in the hunting fields. Opening up the chambers probably sacrificed a bit of pure mechanical accuracy, but you really can't tell a difference in the field.
For centerfires, and at distances of 100 yards or more, my all time champion is a 9" FA Mdl. 353 with a 4X Leupold. With a Hornady 180 XTP and 15 gr. of 296 with CCI Mag. primers, it's a true 1 MOA revolver, and has shown it numerous times. Now I'm not always (or even often, anymore) a 1 MOA shooter, Lord knows, but that's beside the point.

A new model .357 Blackhawk that I bought used.  I sold it during one of my broke periods.  We used to shoot at green husked walnuts on the ground out to 50+ yards. They were easy targets at that range.

My eyes were also much better back then.

This is going against most of the comments on this board, but my Taurus 357 4 3/4 gaucho shoots POA with everything 38 sp wad cutters to full blown 357 mags. 25yds and under most of the time all 5 touching, out to 50 1 1/2 in are common. I just wish it was a 5 in barrel so I could use it deer hunting. It's still a great can roller.

mine would probably have to be an old colt saa 44spl 4 3/4 barrel nickle plate
i bought it for 350 bucks at a local shop
i would amaze ppl and win money with it cause it was so accurate
i could hit a gallon jug of water at 150 to 200 yards off hand every time
i once shot a bee out of the air while he was hovering abt 10 yards away
i know im gonna get flack over that one but i have two witnesses that saw me do it
one lost 20 bucks on it
of course i was in my early 20's then and was shooting this thing two to three hours a day
i kept that gun for over 5 years and shot the snot out of it then sold it back to the same shop i got it from
for the same 350 bucks he promptly put a 600 price tag on it and stuck it under the counter and it didnt stay there a day
i still kick myself for letting that one get away

Harrington & Richardson Single Shot (Single Action) Target Pistol USRA, followed closely by a 1933 H&R Sportsman SA.  I've also got H&R Models 777 UltraSportsman and 196 Eureka - but I haven't and don't intend to fire either of those.
