like i said, struck out with the pistol, so now it is time to try my hand with the blackpowder.  i have shot it some, but never hunted with it.  i ma a bit aprehensivebecause it is a flintlock.  hopefully if i pay attention to detail, it wont be a problem.   i will keep results posted...

Don't let a little flint scraping keep you from trying a muzzleloader for hunting.  I got a doe a few years back using a Hawkin percussion, what a blast.

You folks still called the Bluegill capitol of the world?  Been some years since I've been up that way.  Great fishing there.

"yep. how long?",  well it's been about 4 years I think.  Some of the best bluegill fishing I had done since I was a kid.  My grandfathers knew where the best spots were along the Wisconsin River and toward the Mississippi back in those days.  If only I could remember where those spots were and had the time.

I won't know if I'm gonna go deer hunting with the muzzleloader till this weekend, I'm busy with too many projects.  If I do go, I'll be using a flinter I built a couple of years ago.  So far my hunting this year hasn't been good.  Last minute changes in hunting spots really messed it up.  Next year will be different.  Good luck with your hunting.
