Compound Bows

I am looking into purchasing a new bow.  I have a problem though.  My draw is 31 inches, and there arent that many bows out there with that draw length.  I was looking at a Mathews or Bowtech originally, but am widening my search.  Have looked at Hoyt, and nothing against the bows, but I just dont care for the "style".  I know, not a reason to rule a bow out, but I just dont care for the looks.  Any suggestions on a good 31 inch draw bow that is fast?

I'm and old geezer with limited funds, so I don't keep up on all the modern stuff out in the last few years, but here is what I do know....(this info is from about 6 yrs ago and may be outdated now).... I'm 6'4" and shot mostly traditional using 31-31.5" and wanted to get into a compound... after moving to PA, I went into a local bow shop and told them that I wanted to buy a "good" compound and wanted one to last me....First thing the owner did was have me draw one using a measuring arrow and said that BowTech was the way I needed to go.(Measuring draw length for a compound was different than on a long bow or recurve, probably because of the way the riser is made).. He sold Mathews, Hoyts, BowTech and some other brands, but said due to my draw length, Bowtech(at least then) had modules that could increase the draw length and still keep top performance.... So I ordered a Pro40 from him and have been very happy.  Since then I picked up a Pro38 and had a module put in it to increase draw length to use for a backup bow...

     I was goling to also say a bowtech I just took a bowtech home from our pawn shop and it has a 29 in. module in it, I have a module coming Mon. to decrease it to 28 in. the loops we use with the releases on the compond bows over just the bowstring of conventional bows increases the draw legnth.   Jim

Mathews conquest triumph goes up to a 32 inch draw length.

Thanks Big Nasty.  I saw that, but the price is a bit richer than I wanted to spend.  Locally, I can buy that bow for $1050.00.  I am seriously looking at the Monster 7.0.  I can get that one here for $750.00.  I kind of like the single cams, but dual cams have been around for a long time, and have a decent reputation.  I understand cam timing isnt as big an issue anymore with the new strings out there.

You may also want to look at an Elite GT500!! I have shot mathews for 12 years (And still do). But I bought a used GT500 for my 3D setup. Elites are the only bows with a transferable lifetime warranty. And it is FAST!!

Look into the 09 and 10 bear bows. Awsome bows and way less than the other brands!

Go for it - its an amazing bow. I shoot the Monster 6 and it just great!!
