which stock to get
« on: July 30, 2010, 05:36:01 AM »
I have a remington 700 vtr in 308 and I want to replace the stock my funds are just a bit limited so I can only goto about $220 or so at most.  I've been looking at the bell and carlson stocks which are at the high end of my price range and the hogue with e full bedding. Anyone use either? I'm hoping to hear praises and quarms alike. Thanks

For a few bucks more, I'd be looking @ the High Tech Specialties from Basner. IMO - much better stock.

I would use a laminated stock. They offer a more reasonable price for a bit of your time and they are warm to the touch...really nice when the weathers brittle cold. Also there are a huge number of colors and patterns available..
