6" lizards for smallmouths

will 6" soft plastic lizards catch smallmouth bass? I have a feeling it will be too big is it? should i stick with 4"?

Here in east TN I have caught smallie's on 6" lizards and on the big Zoom Mag II worms same as large mouths depends on feeding pattern and water temp in my humble opinion. (i.e. part time fisherman lol)
